How to Shoot Video That Doesn't Suck

How I Spent My Summer “Vacation”: $24 in 24

One of my coolest projects this summer is a new show that debuts on Food Network September 23 at 10pm. It’s called “$24 in 24″.

The premise: we’ll take host Jeff Mauro to any city in America and find a full day or great restaurant eating for $24 or less. This summer’s shooting took us to LA, Chicago, New York, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Boston and Philadelphia.

Hard to do?  Yes.  But a lot of fun to make– great team, great host.

Check it out:

    • 24/24 is almost entirely shot on Canon C-300s, with a bit of 5D, 60D (for time-lapses) and GoPro here and there. Thanks for noticing!

  1. Hi Steve,

I'm in the UK and haven't seen your show air yet but I will keep a lookout for it! Sounds really cool.

Anyway checkout my blog Best DSLR For Video – where I review the Canon EOS 5D Mark III.

  2. I love the food channels but i cant watch for long without going to the kitchen for a snack lol
